Requirements of the School Psychologist-:

• B.A/B.S. degree in psychology plus completion of all requirements for a master's degree, of an approved program (except special examinations, projects or thesis) with a major or specialization in school psychology.
  
• Valid Washington State ESA School Psychologist Certificate Knowledge of:
  

State and Federal laws in assigned area.

Responsibilities of the School Psychologist-:

• Conduct multifactored psychological and psycho-educational assessments of children and youth, as appropriate
  
• Develops and assists in the development of in service and other skill enhancement activities for school personnel, parents and others within the school and district, where appropriate.
  
• May consult with program staff on how to design and interpret research to improve program effectiveness within total school programs, as appropriate.
  
• Performs related duties as assigned
  
• Provide counseling and support services to students dealing with emotional or behavioral issues
