DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Project Manager plays a key role in the long-term success of The Big Fish Contracting Co. Responsibilities include: directly overseeing crews and job sites, maintaining our standards for quality installations, and ensuring a safe, respectful, and positive experience for our employees, sub-contractors, and customers. Additionally, the Project Manager is a brand ambassador, protecting the company’s reputation with customers and suppliers, as well as current and future employees.

  • Manage & complete a predetermined number of projects on a weekly, monthly, and annual schedule to quality & safety standards
  • Manage job specifications; budget, work orders, and order materials to prepare each project appropriately
  • Ensure job site is set-up to be safe, efficient, and all required equipment, materials, and tools are on-site
  • Communicate plan to crews to ensure entire team has a clear understanding of the scope of work before commencing
  • Monitor project and installation process to ensure that scope of work is being completed to Big Fish standards
  • Monitor & minimize waste of both materials & crew productivity 
  • Keep professional & courteous communications with homeowner about the status & progress of each project
  • Maintain professional knowledge of manufacturer installation specifications to ensure all work is completed to manufacturer & Big Fish prescribed standards
  • Maintain call back frequency to < 5% of projects completed
  • Perform 100% of final inspections with crew and customers using Big Fish checklist
  • Acquire 5 Star Customer Reviews from 50% of jobs completed
  • Learn & utilize several software platforms efficiently and effectively
  • Attend company meetings, training & development workshops, and team-building events

WORKING CONDITIONS

Outdoor Work Environment: Perform duties primarily in outdoor settings, under varying weather conditions including heat, cold, and precipitation.

Physical Demands: Handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, climbing ladders, and extensive fieldwork.

Safety Focus: Prioritize safety, using appropriate personal protective equipment and adhering to all safety guidelines and standards.

Travel Requirements: Travel to various job sites within the service area, requiring reliable transportation and flexibility in scheduling.

 

REPORTING

  1. Report directly to the Department Lead.
  2. Attend weekly Department meetings for updates on Scorecards, Rocks, To-Dos, and IDS (Identify, Discuss, Solve) current issues surrounding the customer service department.

COMPENSATION

Wage Range: $20 - $26 per hour + Bonus & Incentives
