The Department of School of Nursing and Health Studies has an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant to work in Coral Gables campus. The Research Assistant will assist the Principal Investigator and the research activities on the Cannabis Health and Fitness Laboratory Research Team. The incumbent will support recruitment and retention research activities and research assessment activities for the cohort study "Effects of Cannabinoids on Subclinical Cardiovascular Disease Risk" among 18-35 year olds.
Responsibilities:
-Assist with recruitment and retention of 18-34 year old cannabis consumers
-Screening and schedule participants
-Communicate with local cannabis dispensaries
-Communication with clinical partners
-Assist in preparation of study updates.
-Assist in implementation of quality assurance procedures
-Assist in screening, consenting, and assessment of study participants.
-Consent and complete assessments
-Ensure biospecimens are delivered to the proper locations after assessment.
-Assist in implementation of quality assurance procedures
-Attend staff, lab and grant meetings.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Certification and Licensing: Not Applicable
Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes: - Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.

- Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
