\n\nResponsibilities:\n

• Responsible for all aspects of the procedural schedule including coordination with cardiologists and staff.
• Answer incoming calls to a busy telephone line. Assess each caller’s urgency and priority, and either provide information, take messages or forward to appropriate party.
• Communicate pertinent information and changes in physician orders appropriately to healthcare team members, support personnel, patients, and family members. Establish and maintains therapeutic relations with patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Maintain adequate inventory of office supplies and order and stock supplies as necessary, following established limits and guidelines.

\n\nQualifications:\n

Education

• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• Completion of college level course-work in business or administrative sciences preferred

Experience

• Experience as a scheduling clerk in an acute care hospital preferred
• Familiarity with surgical procedures and proven knowledge of Medical Terminology obtained from previous work experience or class preferred
• Experience with EPIC preferred
