About the Position The QA Tester ensures that Everplans continues to lead the industry in quality and that our users will enjoy a bug-free experience across all aspects of the product including our web app, content site, partner landing pages, API integrations, mobile app, and anywhere else Everplans provides value. Additionally the QA Tester will have the opportunity to influence the product not only by testing the features but by providing input into the user experience itself. About You You are an extremely detail-oriented person who likes creating and improving your processes in order to provide the highest level of Quality Assurance for software development. You are meticulous in your approach to detailing issues to create repeatable steps that allow our product and software developers to efficiently identify and remedy bugs. You use a wealth of tools, including screenshots and screen recordings, to document and illustrate issues. You thrive on a challenge and are comfortable exploring new technologies, concepts, and approaches to keep our products and development on the cutting edge. Lastly, you have an acute sense of priority and are comfortable asking questions, asking for help, and offering your time and expertise wherever needed. Duties and responsibilities • Create testing scripts and checklists to maintain consistency around QA protocols • Plan, create, and manage the overall Quality Assurance strategy • Develop and evolve processes for efficiency and improvement across multiple metrics • Test current products and identify deficiencies • Write detailed, repeatable bug reports with illustrative screenshots, recordings, URLS, and relevant details • Suggest solutions to identified product problems • Leverage technological tools wherever possible to improve the quality of your testing (but not as a replacement for it) • Collaborate with the Product Team to ensure consistent project execution • Identify quality assurance process bottleneck and suggest actions for improvement • Collect quality data • Identify key KPIs for product quality Job requirements: • 5 years testing SaaS apps • Detail-oriented and organized • Experience writing and executing regression scripts • Cross-browser (IE, Edge, Chrome, Safari, Firefox) and cross-platform (Windows, MacOS, iOS, iPadOS, Android) testing experience • Experience entering browser developer modes to capture error details Desired: • HTML, CSS, Javascript coding experience • Experience with testing automation tools • Testing within regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA • Experience testing for security vulnerabilities Good to know:
