About the Role As a Prospect Research Professional, you'll be at the heart of strategic fundraising efforts and will directly impact nonprofits across Atlanta and beyond. Your role involves researching, capturing, and analyzing donor information, helping clients understand potential donors, and supporting internal teams by supplying them with critical insights. Key Responsibilities: Identify and evaluate new prospective donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations. Create clear and comprehensive prospect profiles using complex biographical, financial, and relationship data. Maintain and ensure quality control of Coxe Curry's proprietary prospect database. Conduct detailed wealth assessments and analytics projects that include capacity information and philanthropic giving patterns. Discover, explore, and apply new tools and methods to enhance our research projects. Additional Duties: Monitor and summarize daily media alerts relevant to our clients and prospects. Share significant nonprofit and client news. Support team members with additional tasks and special projects as needed. Who We Are Looking For? Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Minimum two years of relevant experience in advancement services, fundraising, or prospect research Strong writing skills and ability to craft clear, compelling narratives Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI) Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics, DonorSearch, LexisNexis, or similar platforms Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills Desired Skills and Competencies: Ethics, Integrity, and Professionalism: Maintains confidentiality, fosters inclusivity, and upholds core organizational values. Research Expertise: Proficient with industry-leading research tools and methodologies for prospect identification and assessment. Fundraising Acumen: Understands fundraising practices, financial management, and the strategic role of research in fundraising. Atlanta Network: Knowledgeable about the philanthropic landscape and key stakeholders in Atlanta. Strategic Thinker: Uses critical thinking and emotional intelligence to innovate and solve problems. Project Management: Organized, resourceful, proactive, and capable of handling multiple projects effectively. Relationship Builder: Strong collaborator who effectively manages relationships internally and externally.
