We are looking for a part-time Property Accountant to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas in a fully REMOTE capacity. In this Contract-to-permanent role, you will oversee financial operations for commercial and residential properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions promptly, ensuring accurate and timely payment of bills and expenses.

• Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

• Support rent collection efforts, ensuring timely receipt of payments and maintaining accounts receivable ledgers.

• Prepare and file property tax returns while adhering to local, state, and federal tax regulations.

• Manage tenant ledgers by tracking rent payments, security deposits, and other charges, while addressing tenant inquiries and disputes.

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards through accurate reporting and documentation.

• Calculate and allocate charges to tenants based on lease agreements and monitor expense recovery.

• Conduct annual reconciliations to compare actual expenses with tenant charges and address discrepancies as needed.

• Oversee financial management for six commercial and four residential properties, ensuring efficient and accurate operations.

• Proven experience in property accounting, preferably managing commercial and residential properties.
• Proficiency in Yardi software for accounting and property management tasks.
• Strong knowledge of month-end closing procedures and accrual accounting principles.
• Expertise in maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Familiarity with property tax compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills to manage multiple financial tasks effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills to handle tenant communications and resolve financial disputes.
