Looking for a leadership role with a great local company ? Ascend Staffing is hiring a Production Supervisor in Tumwater, Washington . This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with weekly pay, overtime options, and strong benefits.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for safety, quality, and production performance on the assigned shift. You will directly supervise, train, and motivate hourly employees, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)

• Supervise and train hourly production employees on your shift

• Maintain a safe working environment and enforce PPE compliance

• Complete shift reports and production paperwork

• Communicate unsafe conditions, acts, or injuries immediately to Production Manager

• Support preventive maintenance programs as needed

• Operate forklifts safely and ensure preventive maintenance is completed

• Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure compliance with plant metrics

• Allocate staff and resources to meet production demands

• Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues; perform repairs or adjustments as needed

• Expedite product changeovers efficiently

• Ensure staff are fully trained in safety, quality, and all job functions

• Lead by example and uphold company CORE VALUES

Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills

• Strong leadership, supervision, and training skills

• Motivational and team-building abilities

• Problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels

• Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)

• Physical ability to:

  • Lift up to 75 pounds to a height of 6 feet

  • Stand and move for 8+ hours

  • Perform physical labor in temperature extremes

  • Twist, bend, reach, squat, and mount/dismount industrial equipment
