Production Operators operate the plant process equipment and controls used for converting raw material into useful products in accordance with operating standards.
The Production Operator is required to operate and troubleshoot equipment in their assigned areas of responsibility. Job responsibilities Include using designated mobile equipment. They will be required to perform technical duties in their operating areas such as equipment start-up, shutdown, equipment cleaning and housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform all duties associated with the manufacture, transporting, storage and safe handling of products
- Perform various process operations including railcar unloading, calcining, centrifuging, chlorinating, drying, compacting, granulating, sizing, packaging, and monitoring of process variables. This work will be completed in compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and policies.
- Perform daily record keeping including completion of log sheets and input into computer-based data collection systems
- Routinely execute minor maintenance activities associated with process equipment in area of control
- Implements and reviews the production schedule
- Achieves department goals via working with their shift
- Monitors Health, Safety and Environmental compliance via a hands approach
- Works closely with Maintenance, and QA/QC lab, to achieve department goals
- Executes Lock Out Tag Out of equipment they are responsible for operating
- Perform housekeeping activities to maintain a clean and neat safe work area
- Participate on the emergency response team as required
- Escalation of irregularities and issues
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements: - Be able to work 12 Hour rotating shift including weekends and holidays
- Be able to work unassisted with minimal supervision
- Learn and adhere to all Solenis guidelines
- Employee must be physically able to complete all requirements of the job
- Employee must have a valid WV Driver's License
Required Education & Experience: - High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of Operations experience, preferably in a chemical plant environment
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills are necessary to accomplish job responsibilities including completing required production log sheets.
