We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to join our team in the Food Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent role that involves overseeing all daily operations of the plant from production and food manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, able to drive efficiency and productivity, while maintaining a strong focus on quality and safety. The Plant Manager will play a pivotal role in driving our business' success, by optimizing production processes, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and leading our dedicated operations team.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity.
2. Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers' expectations.
3. Increase production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
4. Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
5. Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
6. Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions.
7. Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff.
8. Commit to plant safety procedures.
9. Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
10. Stay up to date with the latest production management best practices and concepts.
Qualifications:
1. Proven work experience as a plant manager or similar role in the Food Manufacturing industry.
2. Proven managerial experience.
3. Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources).
4. Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise.
5. Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes.
6. Computer literacy.
7. Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
8. Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills.
9. Degree in Business Management or related field.
10. 5+ years of experience in production planning, operations management, process improvement, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing.
11. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
12. Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset.
13. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
