MetroSys is seeking a reliable PC Refresh Technician for a short-term onsite engagement in Menlo Park, CA. This role will support a workstation refresh initiative involving approximately 15 end-user systems . The technician will be responsible for swapping hardware, ensuring successful user handoff, and minimizing disruption to daily operations.
Perform desktop and laptop refreshes for approximately 15 workstations.
Unbox, image (if required), and configure new systems according to standards.
Migrate user data, profiles, and settings from old systems to new devices.
Install and validate required software, drivers, and security tools.
Disconnect, remove, and properly stage or dispose of legacy equipment.
Perform basic troubleshooting during setup and post-refresh validation.
Provide brief end-user assistance to confirm system functionality.
Prior experience with PC refresh or desktop deployment projects.
Strong working knowledge of Windows OS and basic desktop troubleshooting.
Familiarity with data migration tools and Microsoft 365 environments.
Ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently within a short timeframe.
Professional communication and customer-facing skills.
Experience supporting executive or professional office environments.
Familiarity with imaging tools such as SCCM, Intune, or manual deployment processes.
