Job Description:

Duration: 6 months, possible to extent

We are seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to join our team and manage end-to-end payroll processes for a large organization. This role requires expertise in payroll systems, taxation, reconciliations, and compliance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and a self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute payroll cycles using UKG Pro (Ultipro) or similar large payroll software.
• Ensure accurate payroll data collection, calculation, and entry.
• Oversee 401(k) reconciliation, equity vesting, and relocation processing.
• Handle General Ledger processing, reconciliation, and SAP interface.
• Prepare and submit financial reports to Finance & Accounting teams.
• Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and conduct regular audits.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Process W-2s and year-end payroll reporting.
• Support balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Compensation, Finance, and IT teams.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing employee payroll inquiries.

Qualifications:

5+ years of payroll experience in a large organization.

Strong payroll system experience (Ultipro/UKG, ADP, or similar—not QuickBooks).

Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables, etc.).

Expertise in multi-state and local tax compliance.

Solid accounting knowledge (reconciliations, journal entries, etc.).

Strong understanding of gross-to-net payroll calculations and tax laws.

Ability to analyze complex payroll issues and problem-solve effectively.

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Must be a team player who collaborates well across departments.

Experience with Canadian payroll compliance (a plus).
