PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To provide our customers with superior service by utilizing your knowledge and experience to help answer questions, trouble-shoot problems, and provide solutions to those customers and their needs.

SUMMARY

As a member of Action Truck Parts, Parts Counter Representatives are responsible for selling parts over-the-counter, over-the-phone, and occasionally, on-line, to our customers and doing so with the highest level of customer service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assisting customers in selecting and purchasing the correct parts. 
• Providing pricing and product information to customers.
• Assisting with inventory validation.
• Contributing to departmental production and profitability goals.
• Maintaining customer satisfaction at or above company standards.
• Answering telephones promptly and professionally.
• Ability to apply common sense when needed, while staying within Action guidelines.
• Work cohesively and efficiently with the Team.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driver's license with good driving record
• Some heavy lifting required
• Promotes and maintains a positive, team oriented, and customer focused attitude within department

• Must be able to demonstrates positive resourcefulness & versatility in a fast-paced, changing priority, environment

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong customer service skills
• 3-5 years of truck parts experience strongly preferred
• Aftermarket experience preferred
