The College of Social Sciences and Humanities and its nine tenure units are the home of the Experiential Liberal Arts. Through its research, teaching, and engagement missions, the college collaborates across the university, the Northeastern network, and partners around the globe.
The Department of Sociology and Anthropology in the College of Social Sciences and Humanities seeks applicants to teach undergraduate courses in one or more of the following fields: Introduction to Sociology, Drugs and Society, Sociology of Mental Health, Gender; Poverty; Urban Sociology; Race and Ethnicity; Social Movements; Sociology of the Family; Disability; Work and Organizations; and other undergraduate courses. Seeking instructors able to teach on ground on the Boston campus or online asynchronously. Applicants will be expected to deliver lectures, develop assignments, grade assignments, and hold appropriate office hours.
Positions are available throughout the year contingent upon enrollment and department need.
M.A. required, Ph.D. or A.B.D. preferred. Preference will be given to persons experienced in teaching large and diverse groups of students.
