Parks Maintenance Technician

Cocoa and surrounding areas

$16.52/hr full time

• Available schedules: 6:00AM to 2:30PM OR 6:30AM - 3PM
• Tuesday - Saturday
• Sunday - Thursday

Work in the Beautiful parks in the Space Coast of Florida!

This is a long-term temporary position with a possibility of this becoming permanent at a later date based on performance and availability. We are currently looking for candidates for all Brevard County parks!

Duties include:

• Providing general care and maintenance to buildings, grounds, and parks.
• Cutting, and edging grass
• Using hand and power tools
• Sweep walks, remove refuse and trash and clean buildings, picnics, restrooms and camping areas.
• Assist in skilled trades like plumbing, painting, carpentry, and assist in installs and repairs.
• Loads and unloads heavy materials from trucks can and other equipment.
• Performs related work as required.

Education and Experience:

• Requires high school diploma or equivalency.
• Requires 6 months of combined experience in landscaping and/or building maintenance.
• Experience in mechanical or equipment repair is preferred.

Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License, must pass a drug test and fingerprint background screening.Steel-toed boots/shoes will be required for this position.
