Tanner Health System is seeking a board eligible/board certified Palliative Medicine physician to expand our current palliative care service line, by offering inpatient and limited outpatient services in west Georgia. This hospital employed position will be part of Tanner Medical Group, a multi-specialty ambulatory division, of the health system, and will be based in Carrollton, Georgia.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
* Join an established collaborative and collegial inpatient palliative care team comprised of one physician, a dedicated full-time licensed practical nurse, and a full-time licensed social worker and help us develop an outpatient program that will enhance and grow the Palliative Care services offered by Tanner Health System.
* Function as a program builder by overseeing the design & implementation of an outpatient palliative care clinic, to ultimately include Home Based Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner program.
* Must demonstrate a proven ability to build collaborative relationships and provide education to colleagues, patients, and family members by possessing exceptional communication skills.
* Experience practicing Palliative Medicine in an acute care hospital setting with program management experience preferred.
Job Eligibility Requirements:
Education
* Board Certified in Hospice and Palliative Care through American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine
* Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
* Completion of an accredited Palliative Medicine Fellowship
* Current GA Medical License or must meet eligibility requirements.
Schedule:
* Monday - Friday (5 days/40 hours per week).
