Job Description
Texas Area Telecom, a leader in quality Telecom Infrastructure Design with headquarters in Austin, Texas and projects across the country, is seeking an experienced ARAMIS Drafter to join our expanding drafting team. We are looking for candidates who are eager to grow their careers with our company and possess expertise in the telecommunications industry. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and potential bonuses based on production.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize ARAMIS, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel to create precise and accurate OSP engineering designs.
Perform aerial and buried OSP engineering drafting, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and project specifications.
Manage FRCs, FTIs, fiber count, and splicing aspects of the designs.
Collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends and technologies, including AOTX and IQGEO, and participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations, standards, and client requirements.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the drafting team and the organization.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in ARAMIS, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel.
Proven experience in aerial and buried OSP engineering drafting.
Strong understanding of FRCs, FTIs, fiber count, and splicing.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Familiarity with AOTX and IQGEO (recent training or scheduled training is preferred).
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Dropbox, and Smartsheets.
Organized and proactive problem-solving approach.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Benefits:
Full-time position with an 8-hour day shift, Monday to Friday (overtime and weekends as needed).
Starting annual salary of $55,000 or higher, commensurate with experience.
