Data Center Engineering Operations Technician

Brooksource is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Center Technical Operations Engineer to join our world-class infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of critical data center infrastructure, ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage on-site shift technicians, senior technicians, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with established safety and operational procedures.
• Monitor and report on facility performance metrics and benchmarks.
• Operate and maintain critical systems including switchgear, generators, UPS, chillers, cooling towers, and more.
• Collaborate with IT and business leaders to manage capacity and optimize facility performance.
• Support emergency response efforts and routine maintenance activities.
• Assist in the design and build-out of new data center facilities.
• Contribute to projects aimed at improving facility efficiency.
• Manage inventory and assets.
• Participate in recruiting and onboarding efforts.
• Deliver exceptional service and ensure customer expectations are consistently met.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Technical (Military/Trade School) Degree.
• 0–2 years of relevant work experience.
• 0–2 years of management or supervisory experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
