Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for:

1. Designing and implementing new network solutions and improving the efficiency of current networks.
2. Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP.
3. Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
4. Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
5. Arranging scheduled upgrades and investigating faults in the network.
6. Analyzing, designing, and evaluating networks to meet the company’s needs.
7. Planning and supporting the network and computing infrastructure.
8. Implementing and maintaining policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network resource administration and appropriate use.
9. Practicing network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
10. Conducting research and make recommendations on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in network engineering.
3. Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.
4. Expert knowledge of routing and switching.
5. Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
6. Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices.
7. Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
8. Network certification like CCNA, CCNP, or similar will be preferred.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask.
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
