Ageless Activities is dedicated to providing enriching and engaging activities for senior citizens. We offer a variety of programs to enhance their well-being and bring joy to their lives, including music, art, fitness, and social events. We are currently seeking a talented and compassionate mobile musician to bring live music to our senior community members.

Job Description :

We are looking to on-board experienced musicians in RALEIGH, NC to perform on-site at various retirement communities, independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, health and rehabilitation facilities, 55+ communities, senior centers, and country/social clubs. Your performances will provide entertainment and contribute to the overall happiness and mental stimulation of seniors. We

are looking for someone who can create a lively and warm atmosphere, and who is passionate about bringing the power of music to people.

Responsibilities :

• Perform live music sets in various styles and genres at senior citizen facilities, including nursing homes, retirement communities, and family care homes

• Select and perform a diverse range of music, tailored to the preferences of senior audiences (e.g., classic tunes, oldies, jazz, or easy listening).

• Foster a welcoming, fun and interactive environment, engaging with seniors through sing-alongs, storytelling, or personalized song choices.

• Provide a mobile setup for performances, including portable instruments and sound equipment.

• Maintain a flexible schedule and adapt to various performance locations.

Requirements :

• Proven experience as a musician with the ability to perform on at least one instrument (piano, guitar, etc.)

• A passion for working with seniors and providing them with positive, enriching experiences.

• Reliable transportation for traveling to various locations

• Ability to perform a wide range of music, including classic songs, folk, and old standards.

• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with senior audiences.

• A friendly and patient demeanor, with a dedication to improving the lives of others through music.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Previous experience performing for senior citizens or in therapeutic settings.
• Background in music therapy or elder care is a plus.
• Flexible availability to accommodate daytime or evening performances.

Work Location & Time:

Musicians will perform within a 15-20 minute radius from where they live. Musicians are expected to drive to client-site locations to perform in-person.

Performances can occur throughout the week; Monday-Saturday-- 9AM-12PM, 1PM-5PM
