Stainless Steel Mig Welder

If you're a skilled Mig welder who takes pride in clean, precise stainless work, this role offers something better than repetitive production welding. You'll build custom, engineered stainless-steel systems used in pharmaceutical, food & beverage, and chemical processing projects where quality genuinely matters.

This is a stable, family-owned fabrication shop where weld quality is respected, leadership is accessible, and craftsmen are trusted to do things the right way.

What You'll Be Building

You won't be stuck welding the same part every day. Projects include:

• Pressure vessels and vacuum chambers
• Sanitary process piping and tanks
• Custom stainless-steel assemblies built to customer specs
• One-off and short-run engineered systems

Your Day-to-Day Work

• MIG weld stainless steel components to high sanitary and structural standards
• Read and work from detailed fabrication prints and weld symbols
• Assemble and fabricate custom stainless systems from raw material to finish
• Maintain food-grade and pharma-grade cleanliness and appearance
• Grind, polish, cut, and prep stainless components as needed
• Work independently or alongside a small fabrication team
• Support occasional on-site installation or field welding projects

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on Mig welding (stainless steel)
• Ability to pass a 3/8" stainless weld test (corner and butt joints)
• Experience working with food-grade or sanitary stainless applications
• Comfortable working without constant supervision
• Strong attention to weld quality and consistency

Nice-to-Have (Not Required)

• TIG or sanitary welding experience
• BOCES or technical school training
• Grinding and polishing experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
