Job Title: Community Marching Band DirectorLocation: Drumming Diva Studios Inc., Eagle Ridge Mall, Lake Wales, FLJob Type: Part-Time/ContractPosition Overview:Drumming Diva Studios Inc. is seeking an experienced and passionate Community Marching Band Director to lead our newly established community marching band. This position is perfect for a skilled band leader who thrives in a community-focused setting, enjoys mentoring young musicians, and is committed to fostering a positive and enriching environment. The director will oversee weekly practices and prepare the band for occasional weekend performances.Responsibilities: Lead once-weekly marching band practices on Thursdays, providing instruction, guidance, and encouragement to students of varying skill levels. Develop and implement effective rehearsal plans that focus on building musical skills, discipline, and teamwork. Collaborate with Drumming Diva Studios Inc. staff to plan and prepare for community events and performances. Inspire students to achieve musical growth, teamwork, and confidence through participation in a supportive and structured environment. Ensure the safety and well-being of all band members during practices and events.Qualifications: Previous experience directing a marching band or similar ensemble, preferably with youth or community groups. Strong knowledge of marching techniques, band repertoire, and teaching methods. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to engage and motivate students, fostering a positive learning atmosphere. Flexibility to attend occasional weekend performances or events.Compensation: $25 to $30 per hour for weekly Thursday practices (2-3 hours). Event stipends: $50 to $100 per weekend performance.
