Job Overview:

The Haunt is seeking skilled Makeup Artists to transform our scare actors into terrifying characters that bring our Halloween attraction to life. This role involves applying makeup that ranges from subtle enhancements to dramatic special effects, ensuring each actor fits perfectly into the eerie environment we create.

Responsibilities:

• Character Makeup: Apply a variety of makeup styles, from simple to complex, to transform actors into their assigned characters.
• Special Effects: Utilize special effects makeup techniques to create realistic wounds, scars, and other terrifying effects.
• Supply Management: Maintain an organized workspace and ensure all makeup supplies are stocked and hygienic.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the costume and prop teams to ensure a cohesive look for all characters.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in makeup application, including special effects makeup.
• Strong creative and artistic skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently under time constraints while maintaining high-quality results.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a makeup artist, preferably in theater, film, or special effects.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating makeup and special effects skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, particularly during the Halloween season.
