The Maintenance/Facility Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of multi-shift maintenance staff to ensure safe and efficient operations of the facility, grounds, and to perform project related work to help maintain or improve the organization. The position requires an individual who enjoys the challenge of troubleshooting and correcting mechanical and electrical issues and someone who is willing to work when and where needed, including nights and weekends when required. The Leader manages hourly technicians, tracks performance of techs and projects, and report status on expense and capital budgets within their responsibility. The Leader is responsible project work and may be required to perform maintenance duties as required. Essential Functions include working with maintenance employees and other facility staff to develop effective, proactive team to achieve established targets and goals; assisting with preparation of maintenance operating budgets; evaluating energy expenditures and proposing alternatives to reduce costs and environmental impact; establishing and driving a dynamic Preventative/Predictive Maintenance program; leading maintenance staff in upkeep of buildings and grounds; supervising, assigning, and inspecting work; soliciting bids for outside contract work; coordinating major equipment maintenance tasks; initiating and managing capital projects; ensuring adherence to company safety standards and compliance with regulations; and performing related assignments as required. Required qualifications include 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing facility management role, associate’s degree or equivalent experience, technical training in electrical, mechanical, plumbing fields, advanced computer knowledge, excellent communication skills, and ability to influence and coordinate personnel. Preferred qualifications include bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, TPM experience, Lean Six Sigma certification, and thorough knowledge of safety precautions. Working conditions include shop floor environment with exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals, and noise. The position may require extra hours for critical projects. The role offers a salary range of $100,900 to $160,800 annually and participation in comprehensive benefits.
