SKILLED TRADESPERSON WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING, REPAIRING AND TROUBLESHOOTING MECHANICAL SYSTEMS WITHIN A HEALTHCARE FACILITY

 

JOB SUMMARY:

• This position is responsible for general facility, building and equipment maintenance and repair, both scheduled and unscheduled tasks, as assigned by the Call Center and/or Facilities and Maintenance management. In general, tasks that will be completed include: Work Order completion,
• Preventative Maintenance completion, problem identification and resolution, design of minor mechanical systems, determination of material and supplies required for problem resolution, documentation of activities, utilization of the Computer Maintenance Management System, and communicating with the department’s management. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field
• 5-7 years experience in a Mechanical Maintenance Field including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fixing our specialized equipment and major components. HOSPITAL/COMMERCIAL EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED
• Require experience with HVAC systems (maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems), plumbing and piping (ex fixing leaks, maintaining medical gas systems and ensuring water systems function properly), electrical and mechanical repairs (troubleshooting and repairing motors, pumps, boilers and other hospital equipment), preventive maintenance (performing routine inspections and servicing systems to prevent failures)
• Full valid Driver’s License and good driving record preferred
• Employees in this position may be subject to be on-call on emergent basis

MUST BE ABLE TO TRAIN ON THE DAY SHIFT 7 am to 3:30 pm FOR APPROXIMATELY 90 DAYS

Union rate $24.63 per hour, $1/hour shift differential for evening shift
