Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented
Logistics Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: - Supervises logistics staff and consults on the implementation and sustainment of IT and autonomous inventory management systems.
- Develop plans and processes to analyze data, identify and reduce excess inventory, increase allowances, and spare quantities for all assets.
- Review and approve standard and ad hoc reports for management from logistics-related systems as required.
- Direct and consult with Logistics Analysis on best approaches to provide supply activities for the requisition, receipt, storage, shipment and issue of parts, materials, and equipment required for the development, deployment, installation, and operation of IT Systems that are within scope of the LOGIX Tasks.
- Conducting site assessments to identify problems and assist the NSIN and its mission partners with determining what IT elements are needed for system implementation.
- Consult with NSIN and mission partners and collaborate with SMEs on the most applicable types and uses of state-of-the-art commercial items needed for projects that enable full system development support for machinery and installation of logistics software to modernize DoD efforts to improve supply chain management processes for procurement, inventory, and distribution management to achieve globally responsive, sustainable, and cost-effective logistics and material readiness.
- Recruit, hire, develop, and retain talented Logistics Analysts to provide a quality logistics management service.
- Accountable for the quality of services and deliverables of the logistics staff. They provide point-to-point coordination of IT delivery between departure and arrival destinations for Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
This position may require 20% to 30% domestic and international travel. The Logistics Manager III is a senior role with extensive managerial experience in all aspects of supply chain management and modernization efforts. The Logistics Manager III supervises and mentors subordinate project and Team ManTech staff.
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, or a related discipline.
- 5 years of position-specific relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge and/or experience with DLA-secure logistics processes
- Knowledge and/or experience working with DPAS; DAU Logistics Level I; experience with air freight and ground freight; knowledge of Dangerous Goods/Restricted Article Regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Thorough knowledge of transportation encompassing LTL and truckload modes; knowledge of geography and time zones; ability to handle details, work in a fast-paced environment, and solve problems in a timely manner desired.
Physical Requirements - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
