JOB TITLE:                    Logistic Associate
DEPARTMENT:             Distribution Center
LOCATION:                 Lewisville, TX - MUST be located in the UNITED STATES.
STATUS:                        Full time

Other: Bilingual in Spanish is a PLUS but not required.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Logistics Associate’s objective will be to analyze and improve our supply chain's efficiency. By meticulously examining historical shipping data, identifying patterns and bottlenecks that hinder timely deliveries, collaborate with transportation teams to evaluate route effectiveness, proposing alternate routes or modes of transportation to reduce transit times and costs.

The principal goal will be to enhance the overall logistics process, contributing to streamlined operations, reduced expenses, and increased customer satisfaction by ensuring products reach their destinations promptly and seamlessly

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist Logistic Sr. Coordinator in the management of quality, costs and efficiency of the logistic using data to support theories and need for change.
  • Analyzing large sets of supply chain and logistics data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that could impact operational efficiency.
  • Evaluating transportation routes and modes to find the most efficient and cost-effective options, considering factors like distance, transit time, and fuel costs.
  • Identifying inefficiencies in logistics processes and proposing solutions to streamline operations, reduce delays, and enhance overall workflow.
  • Handle maintenance and repair vendors procurement and work execution process from start to finish to ensure accuracy and thoroughness of work
  • Book and coordinate with operation teams all import & export shipments
  • Conducting cost-benefit analyses of different logistics strategies, helping the company make decisions that balance efficiency and budget constraints.
  • Evaluating the performance of partners and vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with agreed-upon terms.
  • Follow up of policies for liability areas with suppliers regards on maintenance.
  • Analyzing peak demand periods and planning logistics resources accordingly to ensure smooth operations during periods of high activity.
  • Serve as the point of contact for any and all visitors to the center, including visits from corporate employees
  • Ensure the correct creation of all documentation of U.S. Logistics policies and procedures, to ensure efficient and accurate processing of all transactions.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:            High School diploma

EXPERIENCE:           Must have 1 year or more in a distribution or warehouse
environment with proven results in business operation efficiency.  Must be able to see the “big picture” and understand the full scope of the operation from end-to-end and rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

SKILLS:                        Excellent conceptual development skills. Ability to read and extract pertinent data from analyses and relate data to business trends and behavior (historical & future). Working knowledge of data modeling and distributed databases desired. A multi-tasker, with high level of detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work with others; to create a cross-departmental successful team environment. Excellent communication and presentation skills.  Strong verbal and written communication in English and Spanish.
