Duration: 6-month Contract-to-Hire

Overview

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLT/MLS) to join one of Indiana’s leading hospital laboratory networks. Multiple shifts and locations are available, offering a variety of bench work across Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, and Blood Bank. These roles support diagnostic testing, quality control, and instrument maintenance in a CAP-accredited environment.

Open to candidates with a BS in Biology or Chemistry who possess hospital laboratory experience.

Available Positions

Position 1: 0630–1500 | M–F, Weekend & Holiday Rotation
Position 2: 0800–1630 | M–F, Weekend & Holiday Rotation
Position 3: 0700–1730 (Mon – Schwarz Outpatient Cancer Lab) & 0800–1600 rest of week + rotation | Assists with phlebotomy and bone marrow collections (training provided)
Position 4: 1400–2230 | M–F, Weekend & Holiday Rotation
Position 5: 1400–2230 | M–F, Weekend & Holiday Rotation
Position 6 (Float): 2200–0630 | M–F Only | Float between West (Avon), North (Carmel), and Fishers Labs

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity laboratory testing across core departments.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and automation systems.
• Conduct and document quality control, calibration, and validation procedures.
• Accurately verify, analyze, and report patient test results.
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and CLIA/CAP compliance standards.
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry , or related field.
• Certification:
  • ASCP, AMT, or NCA certification (or eligibility within 12 months of hire).
• Experience:
  • At least 1 year of hospital laboratory experience preferred.
• Skills:
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency with LIS systems and laboratory automation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork within a clinical environment.
