Library Assistant
Job Description Ad: Do you have a passion for books? The Public County Library is looking for Library Assistants. Looking for individuals with excellent customer service skills and a strong administrative background. Must be available to work weekends and have a flexible schedule. This is a part-time position.

What your future looks like:
1. Orient library customers on services, policies, and procedures of the library system; explain the use of library computers and other technology-related items.

2. Assist library customers in the use of the library collection and services by providing reference service using standard electronic and print sources; providing circulation services by checking in/out materials, handling money, and accessing account information.

3. Assist library customers throughout the library by answering their questions effectively and resolving customer concerns. Remain knowledgeable about library programs and activities and successfully promote information regarding programs and technology to the public.

4. Shelve library materials, organize collections of books, process new and donated materials, and evaluate donated materials.

5. Create library book displays, work on promotional programs, use various craft supplies to decorate for library events, and contribute to the successful implementation of special programs or events.
