An industry-defining SaaS platform is investing heavily in the next generation of AI-driven search and assistance , and they’re looking for a Lead Product Designer to define how users discover information, automate work, and interact with intelligence across their entire ecosystem.

In this role, you’ll lead the design vision for AI-powered search and conversational workflows , helping shape how a massive volume of organizational data becomes immediately useful and actionable. You’ll own the convergence of search, reasoning, and assistance , crafting the foundation for how AI shows up across every product surface.

What you’ll do

• Define the strategy for how AI capabilities are represented across the platform—from universal search to embedded assistants and end-to-end workflows.
• Design new interaction models for LLM-powered systems that help users query, interpret, and act on complex business data with clarity and control.
• Explore and prototype the next generation of intelligent interfaces, combining retrieval, reasoning, and automation into unified, trustworthy experiences.
• Collaborate deeply with Product, Engineering, and Applied ML teams to turn evolving AI capabilities into elegant, user-centered tools.
• Balance power with transparency , ensuring that every AI-driven experience is explainable, reliable, and auditable at scale.

What you bring

• A portfolio of shipped products where AI or LLMs played a meaningful role in the user experience.
• Experience designing across search, information retrieval, or data-heavy enterprise tools.
• Strong systems thinking and the ability to simplify complexity without losing nuance.
• Curiosity about how emerging AI technologies reshape interaction design, from prompts and ranking to adaptive UI.
• Excellent communication skills—you can tell the story behind the design and inspire alignment across disciplines.
