Base pay range $50.00/hr - $60.00/hr Job Title: Network Engineer (ONSITE - Brocade to Juniper Migration Project) Location: ONSITE - Dekalb County, GA Job Summary : A highly motivated and skilled Network Engineer is sought to join the team for a network upgrade project migrating infrastructure from Brocade to Juniper. This project includes hands-on installation, configuration, testing, and documentation to ensure a seamless transition and reliable network performance. The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment and be a strong team player. Responsibilities : Network Upgrade and Migration: Install Juniper switches, patch cables, and configure ports. Configure Juniper switches via the Mist platform to align with network design specifications. Upgrade and configure Aruba access points to integrate with the new Juniper infrastructure. Configure Palo Alto Firewalls to enforce security policies and protect the network. Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans for networking features, equipment, and systems after migrations. Validate network configurations and performance to ensure compliance with standards and project requirements. Document test results and provide insights for improvements. Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues arising during or after the migration. Provide support for network connectivity or related network issues. Perform root cause analysis of network failures and implement corrective actions. Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures. Document punch list items that require further action and ensure timely resolution. Provide regular reports on project progress and network performance to stakeholders. Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with team members, departments, and vendors to achieve project goals. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a collaborative team culture. Qualifications : Experience in network engineering, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of networking hardware. Hands-on experience with Juniper Networks equipment and the Mist platform. Experience with Aruba access points and upgrades. Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and their configurations. Understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLANs. Experience in network migration projects, particularly from Brocade to Juniper, is highly desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Relevant network certifications (e.g., JNCIA, JNCIP, CCNP) are preferred. Education : A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science) or relevant work experience is preferred.
