Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Virtual Intervention Specialist to join our team in providing specialized support to students with diverse learning needs. This fully remote position offers the flexibility of working from home while making a meaningful impact on students across Ohio. As a Virtual Intervention Specialist, you will have the opportunity to create individualized education programs (IEPs), deliver virtual instruction, and collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to ensure the success of each student in an online learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Individualized Support: Develop and implement IEPs that are tailored to meet the unique learning needs of each student, ensuring personalized support and progress.
Virtual Instruction: Provide direct virtual instruction to students in small group or one-on-one settings, utilizing teletherapy platforms to engage and support students.
Curriculum Adaptation: Work closely with general education teachers and support staff to modify the curriculum and implement necessary accommodations, ensuring students' needs are met.
Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress, adapting instructional methods and strategies to maximize student achievement and growth.
Collaboration & Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents, teachers, and administrators to keep them informed on student development and collaborate on strategies for success.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all Ohio state and federal special education regulations, including IDEA and Section 504, to provide students with the best possible educational experience.
Engaging Online Environment: Utilize technology to foster an inclusive and interactive virtual classroom that encourages student participation and growth.

Qualifications:

Education: A Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
Certification: A valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License (K-12) is required.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience as an Intervention Specialist. Experience in a virtual teaching environment is highly preferred.
Technical Proficiency: A strong understanding of virtual instructional strategies and familiarity with teletherapy tools to create engaging online lessons.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams and engage parents and students virtually.
