Established in 2013, OUR Rescue (formerly Operation Underground Railroad) fights human trafficking and child sexual exploitation worldwide. We work with law enforcement agencies globally to identify, arrest, and prosecute traffickers and provide comprehensive care for survivors. We also educate and advocate for public involvement in our mission.

 

Description:

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative instructional designer/technologist to join our Education team in offering training both internally and externally. As an instructional designer/technologist, you will play a crucial role in creating engaging and effective online and in-person learning experiences.

In this position, you will collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop educational content. With your expertise in instructional design and technology, you will leverage various learning management systems, multimedia tools, and authoring software to create interactive and impactful learning. Your keen eye for detail will ensure the content is visually appealing, well-organized, and easy to navigate. You will also conduct thorough needs assessments and learner analysis to identify and address specific learning objectives. As a professional in the field, you will stay up to date with the latest research and developments in instructional design methodologies and learning management and delivery systems.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and design engaging online educational content.
  • Conduct needs assessments and learner analysis to identify target audience and learning objectives.
  • Assist in the creation of learning objectives, instructional strategies, and assessment methods that align with the desired outcomes.
  • Leverage various learning management systems to develop, implement, and manage course content.
  • Utilize multimedia tools and authoring software to create interactive and visually appealing learning experiences.
  • Ensure content is well-organized, easy to navigate, and accessible to diverse learners
  • Conduct periodic evaluations and updates to ensure content relevancy and effectiveness

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology, or related field
  • Proven experience as an instructional designer or technologist, preferably in the e-Learning industry
  • Proficiency in using learning management systems and authoring tools (Cypher Learning/Matrix preferred)
  • Experience developing eLearning training modules delivered on a learning management system (LMS), content management system (CMS), and using the Shareable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) framework
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Canva
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and methodologies
  • Experience with multimedia production and graphic design software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and Education team members
