LaSalle Network has partnered with a medical provider in their search for an Inpatient Facility Coder. The Inpatient Facility Coder will be responsible for accurately coding inpatient medical records using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and pathophysiology, as well as the ability to ensure compliance with federal regulations and guidelines. This position requires a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification and a minimum of 2 years of inpatient coding experience. Inpatient Facility Coder Responsibilities: Review and analyze inpatient medical records to identify relevant diagnoses and procedures for coding Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes to inpatient records Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with established guidelines and regulations Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and coding discrepancies Participate in regular coding audits and quality assurance activities Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and industry best practices Meet productivity and accuracy standards as established by the coding department Inpatient Facility Coder Requirements: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification is required 2+ years of inpatient coding experience Proficiency in ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding systems Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and pathophysiology Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and coding software If you meet the qualifications, we invite you to apply today for our Inpatient Facility Coder opening!
