Job Description

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Position is responsible for group instruction of different skating skill levels, Pre-school, Youth, and Adult/Youth. The Ice Rink Supervisor and Ice-Skating Lesson Supervisor directly supervise this position.

Examples of Duties:

Skating knowledge and experience is required, previous teaching experience is preferred. Applicant needs to demonstrate strong customer service skills and have the ability to work independently under pressure. Applicant must be able to instruct classes for the entire ice-skating season.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must be at least 15 years of age or older. Have extensive ice skating or previous skate instruction experience with the knowledge skills and abilities to demonstrate and teach students at varying skill levels. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing . Shifts may include nights and weekends. Skating skills may encompass instructing basic skating, figure skating and/or hockey skating specific skills. The Community Center Ice Rink is an outdoor rink; temperatures can range from below zero to 30-40 ° .
