Responsibilities:

• Present a positive image to customers, co-workers, and others all the time.
• Follow all service department, company, and safety policies and procedures.
• Attend training to improve knowledge of HVAC industries.
• Perform preventative maintenance and spot problems, i.e. contractors, relays, coils, over-amping, devices, loads, transformers, motors, etc.
• Electrical troubleshooting, reading diagrams both ladder, schematic and pictorial
• Diagnose problems in Residential HVAC systems including leak-check procedures for both water and refrigerant ∙ Repair various components of Residential HVAC systems, compressors, condensers, variable speed systems, and zoning systems
• Identify and order parts necessary for the repair of equipment and quote the customer while on site. ∙ Participation in the after-hours On Call rotation
• Refrigerant circuits – Pressure temperature relationships, restrictions, pressure drops, and heat pumps, air to water to air ∙ Piping for DX Freon systems and condensation drain lines
• Heating, electric, heat pump, gas, and all types of fossil fuel
• Thermostats – All types, programmable, non-programmable, standard mercury, snap-acting
• Air Balance – Overall system adjustment, diagnosis
• Sales – Skills up to five-ton quotes, ability to discuss options, closing
• Must have all tools in good condition to perform the above tasks.
• Maintain truck inventory
• Maintain and drive company vehicle in a safe manner

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• EPA Certified
• Refrigerant Certified
• Must be able to read/write and speak fluent the English language
• Minimum of two plus (2+) year’s experience in the HVAC trade
• The ability to work independently without supervision
• Strong Mechanical Skills
• NATE certified technician preferred
• Bi-lingual applicants encouraged to apply

Work Environment:

Physical activities of standing, balancing, climbing stairs and ladders. Must be comfortable working from heights (over 20 feet is common). Walking and lifting weight of 50 lbs. or more are required in daily performance of job. Use of upper extremities required for forward and overhead reaching, pushing, pulling and material handling. Use of torso and lower extremities required for kneeling, crawling, stooping, twisting and squatting.
