Leidos is currently looking for a Database Administrator to support the Human Resources System Technical Support (HRSTS-III) Program.
Primary Responsibilities Support includes core database administration, troubleshooting performance related issues and maintenance of databases and applications such as EBS, SSO and OBIEE technologies. Responsibilities include applying Oracle's quarterly Critical Patch Update (CPU/PSU application) using OPATCH utility to install, test, and deploy patches to all database instances. Supporting daily administration, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting on single instance on UNIX/Linux, Windows server 2008 and 2012 (Database sizes range 100GB to 39TB). Monitor AWR, ADDM, ASH, Alert log, dynamic performance views, DBMS_STATS, Trace Files, and System Event Logs for unusual events and take appropriate action according to office/PMO policies of incident reports. Monitor and implement table and index partitioning to minimize DB time, increase disk load balancing, improve query speed and enable faster parallel query. Conduct capacity planning to meet the demands of the dynamic aspects of storage and memory for the databases.
Educational Qualifications - Typically requires BS degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 10+ years of prior relevant experience OR additional years of related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Extensive Oracle Database Administration (DBA) experience, including management, configuration, and performance tuning.
- Skilled in Oracle Database upgrades and patches to ensure secure and efficient operations.
- Preferred experience in Oracle Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) implementation to maintain DOD compliance.
- Demonstrated expertise in Oracle systems on Department of Defense (DOD) programs, supporting mission-critical environments.
- Proficient in Oracle Cloud solutions and Human Capital Management (HCM) systems, enhancing workforce management and productivity.
Preferred Qualifications - Previous IT support of military personnel applications
- Experience working with DOD customer as a contractor
- Demonstrated experience in and understanding of the Installation, configuration, and update of Oracle 12c and 19c using OUI, OPATCH, DBCA and DBUA. Demonstrated experience in Backup & Recovery using RMAN and database security (including TDE)

Pay Range: Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
