Koontz Bryant Johnson Williams (KBJW) is seeking a HR Recruiting Coordinator to join our dynamic growing team in our Henrico, Virginia office.

Position Summary

The HR Recruiting Coordinator's primary function is to provide daily operational support for many of the functions within the Human Resources department including recruitment, retention, on-boarding, exit interviews, benefits, and guidance of company policies and practices. In addition to daily operational support, special projects may be assigned by the Human Resources Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Recruits and screens for all open positions
  • Collaborate with Human Resources Manager and Hiring Managers to understand the skills required for open positions.
  • Process Background Screenings and I-9 verifications
  • Support onboarding efforts to ensure a smooth experience for new hires.
  • Works with Human Resources Manager to develop and implement recruiting strategies
  • Supports HR Manager in the maintenance of employee records and personnel files
  • Registering and attending career fairs for universities in the area
  • Provides support to HR Manager in updating policies and procedures as changes occur
  • Entering employees into the HRIS, tracking benefit eligibility, assisting with enrollment
  • Assist with internal and external employee events and volunteering
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality regarding employee records
  • Promoting a positive company culture
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 3-year relevant experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment
  • Must be willing to travel as needed to support the recruiting process
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, HRIS, Benefits Software
  • Great attitude and a desire to grow professionally

Work Requirements:

  • May require the ability to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk and manipulate (carry, lift, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk construction job sites and climb ladders is necessary.
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate technical equipment, read technical information and to analyze complex data.
  • Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work- related errands or to attend meetings may be required.
