HR Manager:

Position Summary
The HR Manager will oversee employee engagement, development, and HR operations for our Champaign, IL location. You will partner closely with site leadership to develop engagement strategies, strengthen communication, and lead programs that support employees at every stage of their career. This is a highly visible, hands-on role requiring strong leadership, coaching ability, and a genuine passion for creating a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with site leadership to design and execute engagement strategies that promote a strong, inclusive workplace culture.
  • Lead employee recognition programs, rewards initiatives, and engagement activities to foster connection and morale.
  • Oversee onboarding processes to ensure new employees feel welcomed, prepared, and supported as they integrate into the team.
  • Coach and guide managers on communication, relationship-building, and effective leadership practices.
  • Collect and analyze engagement and performance data to assess program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a strong floor presence to stay connected with employees and understand workplace needs in real time.
  • Support employee development, including career pathing, internal transfers, and promotional opportunities.
  • Serve as a reliable resource for employees, helping connect them to information, programs, and support services.
  • Manage HR systems and reporting functions; experience with Workday and advanced Excel skills are highly valued.
  • Ensure HR practices align with organizational policies and manufacturing workforce needs.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (Human Resources, Business Administration, or Communications ideal).
  • Minimum of 2 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be comfortable working on-site and walking the production floor regularly.
  • High energy, approachable, authentic, and relatable leadership style.
  • Strong coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data and turn insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems; Workday experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for improving the workplace for both employees and the business.
Compensation

  • Salary: $55,000-$65,000, based on experience and qualifications.
