Job Description Terms of Employment: 12 months Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Temporary Position $30.00 per hour EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience working with students required.
QUALIFICATIONS - Ability to plan and implement lessons.
- Demonstrated ability to work professionally and discretely with extremely confidential information.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent customer service, communication (both written and verbal), and cross group collaboration skills required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - Develops, selects, and modifies instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students.
- Maintains appropriate records and follows required procedures and practices.
- Supervises students in a variety of settings, including the home environment.
- Communicates and interacts with students, staff, parents, and the community as necessary.
- Ensures all materials are read and prepared for instruction.
- Monitors and evaluates student outcomes in various formats as requested, but not limited to grade percentages.
- Provides documentation for data collection as requested.
- Creates a learning environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of children.
- Represents the best interests of Charles County Public Schools during communication with students and parents.
- Monitors appropriate use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
