High Reach Forklift Operator

Position Summary: The High Reach Forklift Operator in cold storage is responsible for operating a forklift in a cold environment (Cooler is 38 degrees and freezer is minus 10-20 degrees) for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. The High Reach Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient use of the vehicle. The operator is also responsible for order selection, checking, inventory verification, tidiness, loading, and unloading of trucks as needed.

**This is a Cold storage facility. Candidate must be comfortable working in a negative temperature climate**

Pay: $18hr

Address: 301 Airport Dr., Montezuma, GA.

Schedule: M-F shifts vary.

First Shift: 07:00am to 03:30pm.

Second Shift: 12:00pm to 08:30pm

Third Shift: 04:00pm to 12:30am

Primary Duties:

• Operate sit or stand-up forklift to move product
• Utilize power or hand jack
• Gather product based on the production schedule or work order
• Ability to read; production schedules and work orders to determine items needed
• Sort, rack and shelve items based on size, type, style, color or product code
• Compile paperwork from customer specifications
• Write simple memos and communications
• Reviews orders for accuracy
• Help to maintain a clean and neat work environment
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school Diploma or GED equivalent
• Attention to detail
• Basic math skills
• 2+ years forklift operation experience
• Ability to read and comprehend information
• Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds
• Previous forklift experience required
