In this position at our Willow Wheaton campus, your Guest Experience (GEX) Pastor responsibilities come first in which you'll work with people, develop leaders, and demonstrate high attention to detail. You understand the power of consistent, effective hospitality along the journey from site to seat. You will successfully lead large teams of volunteers and unleash them to cultivate warm, welcoming environments and touch points for Willow Creek Community Church weekend services and special events, with an intentional consideration and focus towards first-time guests.
In the secondary role as Associate Campus Pastor you'll be in a leadership role that helps the Campus Pastor lead the campus team and assists in creating and maintaining a healthy culture for the staff at their campus and also in how the campus team works with the central teams. In addition, you will contribute, manage and monitor campus social media and contribute to the weekly email newsletter. Your responsibilities could also include stage communication, leading team meetings, and/or handling staff team needs as determined by the Campus Pastor.
Our Willow Wheaton location is a mobile campus hosting services at Wheaton Academy in Wheaton, IL with an average congregation size of around 500 people. Job Responsibilities - Effectively communicate the vision of the Guest Experience (GEX) Ministry and successfully implement/execute its strategies at the campus level.
- Build and cultivate a healthy, one-team GEX culture where volunteers are known and in relationship with others, encouraged, developed, and discipled in their relationship with Jesus.
- Build and manage volunteer weekend & event set-up and teardown teams.
- Plan for and execute events (i.e. weekend services, Christmas, Easter, World Food Fair, etc)
- Address customer service related challenges & issues in a timely, professional manner
- Manage and oversee day-to-day operations at the Ministry Center (staff offices) and ongoing, weekend operations at Wheaton Academy ensuring excellence in aesthetic and function for both the congregation and the staff.
- Develop and maintain positive relational and contractual connections with community leaders, local officials, vendors, etc.
- Serve as the Volunteer Teams Champion by overseeing the communication and implementation of Teams' vision, strategy, and initiatives at your campus while maintaining quality and execution standards in support of the aligned ministry model.
- Support and promote the use of all technological platforms (i.e. Rock, ServeFinder, etc.) as the primary tool for volunteer recruitment, tracking, and data collection/analysis.
- Lead the planning and execution of Discover Willow and Volunteer Central at your campus, while enlisting and empowering volunteer teams
- Serve as a champion for Willow's volunteer engagement process at your campus, and ensure individuals have a personalized connection to have a meaningful volunteer experience.
- Perform the duties of a pastor as needed such as performing weddings and funerals, making hospital visits, providing crisis care assistance, etc.

- Systems and processes are operating effectively and aligned with the Central Ministry Team standards
- All first time guests and guests looking to take a next step at Willow are personally followed up on within 48 hours of a "raised hand".

Education and Experience:
- Proven track record of operational excellence
- Proven culture builder
- Experience with leading and managing volunteer teams required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience in hospitality, customer service, and event planning/management preferred
