POSITION SUMMARY:
The Fundraising Manager manages and coordinates various fundraising and donor engagement activities. This role supports all development initiatives, including donor relations and communication, donor database management, donor and grant research, giving campaigns, and fundraising processes. This role is key in shaping the external stakeholders' impressions of TLC as a nationally recognized leader in services for deaf and hard of hearing children, adults, and families. It requires a friendly, organized, and relationship-oriented individual with a passion for TLC's mission in an environment where ASL is the primary language of communication.
SUPERVISOR: Director of Development
POSITION DUTIES:
Researching and identifying potential donors, including major gift prospects, through data analysis and outreach efforts to build relationships.
Implementing comprehensive fundraising plans that align with the organization's goals, including identifying target donor segments and developing fundraising campaigns.
Working with the Advancement Team in collecting and sharing compelling narratives from the TLC community for various media such as social media, campaign videos, newsletters, and grant proposals.
Organizing and managing multiple fundraising events such as galas, races, tournaments, auctions, and donor appreciation events within deadlines.
Maintaining regular communication with donors through personalized outreach, newsletters, updates on program impact, and thank you letters.
Leveraging the Executive Team and other Program Leaders to cultivate relationships with external stakeholders.
Cultivating relationships with existing donors, inviting them to increase their investment in TLC's mission.
Managing and mentoring volunteers, including assigning tasks, providing training, and overseeing fundraising activities.
Tracking fundraising progress, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and preparing regular reports for leadership.
Building rapport with potential donors, effectively presenting the organization's mission and inspiring investment.
Performs other related tasks as directed by the Supervisor.

Requirements
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
Manages and safeguards confidential information responsibly and with discretion
Deaf applicants are strongly encouraged to apply; a minimum of conversational fluency in American Sign Language is required, with native or near-native ASL fluency preferred
Two years of relevant relationship cultivation, fundraising, or marketing experience in a fast-paced environment
Passion for researching and developing relationships with external and internal stakeholders
Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
Strong detail-oriented organization, planning, and management skills
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently and effectively handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Effective time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
Self-motivated with the ability to motivate, enthuse, and lead diverse teams, including volunteers
Ability to collect and analyze data to measure the fundraising effectiveness of various projects
Proficiency in Google platforms and Microsoft Office is required, and experience or knowledge of donor management platforms (or similar CRM), along with a willingness to learn new software, applications, and processes
Ability to travel for development and fundraising activities, including meetings, fundraising events, networking events, and relationship-building visits, with access to reliable transportation
Frequent events outside of normal business hours
Availability to attend ASL classes, if required
