Job Description:
Our client, an elite Amlaw 100 firm, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fund Formation/Investment Management Associate to join their dynamic team in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of experience in fund formation and investment management, with a strong understanding of the legal and regulatory frameworks governing investment funds. The expected pay range for this position is $250,000-$320,000 per year
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on the formation and management of investment funds, including private equity, hedge, and venture capital funds.
- Draft and review fund documentation, including offering memoranda, partnership agreements, and subscription documents.
- Coordinate with clients and other legal professionals to ensure compliance with federal and state securities laws.
- Provide guidance on fund structuring and operational issues.
- Assist in negotiating terms with investors and counterparties.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting investment funds.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the Illinois State Bar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience in fund formation and investment management.
