Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, load, and unload materials in a warehouse or distribution center environment. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will contribute to the efficiency and productivity of our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to safely and efficiently move materials within the warehouse or distribution center
- Load and unload trucks, stacking and organizing products in designated areas
- Perform order picking and ensure accurate inventory management
- Conduct basic maintenance and repairs on forklift equipment as needed
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to prevent accidents or injuries
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role preferred
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts, including pallet jacks
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory management
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
