This position is based out of our Westchester County Headquarters office.

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fleet Manager to join our team. As a Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company's fleet operations, always ensuring smooth and efficient operations. This role requires strong organizational and leadership skills, as well as a deep understanding of logistics and fleet management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and implement fleet preventive maintenance programs to ensure fleet reliability and longevity.
  • Manage fleet assets, including vehicles and equipment.
  • Coordinate and schedule fleet maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor fleet performance and fuel usage, implementing strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing fleet operations.
  • Supervise and train fleet maintenance and operational staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of fleet inventory, maintenance schedules, additions and losses in inventory and operational costs.
  • Evaluate fleet performance and prepare regular reports for management.
  • Implement safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all fleet personnel.
  • Supports M&I Directors with reporting needs that are Fleet related i.e., Payroll, reimbursement, Pro safety compliance and vehicle based.
  • Maintain driver information files and handle insurance communications.
  • Prepare monthly performance reports regarding speeding, start and stop times, parking tickets, DMV violations and job completion percentage.
  • Support questions/concerns from the M&I network regarding fleet related topics.
  • Learn and assist leadership with Network Fleet, the telematics/GPS software.
  • Schedule and communicate with the M&I network for all van service and maintenance repairs.
  • Support M&I Pro's with issues on the road and handle accordingly.
  • Assist with all accident reporting by following all TSS guidelines for repairs, substance testing, insurance claims, and other related items.
  • Track all driver and vehicle violations/citations.
  • Coordinate all appropriate DMV related tasks including registrations, emissions inspections, etc.
  • Coordinate all new van setup tasks.
  • Additional ad hoc responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Fleet Manager or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of fleet management software and systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations.
  • CDL (Commercial Driver's License) may be required depending on fleet composition.
  • Certification in fleet management (e.g., Certified Automotive Fleet Manager) is a plus.

  • The base salary compensation range for this position is $68-$78k, commensurate with experience.
