  • Stay updated on relevant accounting standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations prepared by Junior Accountants.
  • Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Manage cash flow by monitoring bank balances, cash requirements, and resource planning.
  • Track the progress of financial and accounting objectives, ensuring alignment with the company's targets.
  • Establish and implement accounting policies and procedures that support the achievement of the company's goals.
Requirements
  • Proven supervision and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage processes, identify problems, and recommend effective solutions, with strong research capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a client-focused approach to both written and verbal communication.
  • Extensive experience in reconciliation and month-end closing processes.

  • Thorough understanding of GAAP accounting principles, regulations, and standards.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be located in Atlanta, Georgia or New York, New York.
