Akshar Logistics, Inc. is looking for FedEx BC (Operations Manager) near FedEx Ground Terminal in Palmetto, FL 34221 area !

This position oversees and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of FedEx package delivery services. The manager will have a strong daily presence at the terminal to ensure smooth day-to-day operation, as well as build and maintain strong, positive working relationship with all FedEx employees.

This role requires the ability to effectively lead a team of drivers and up to 18+ package delivery routes from a single terminal in varying territories near Sarasota Bay area. The right candidate will be adaptable with a strong work ethic, confidence, business ownership mentality.

Manager Expectations:

• Maintain efficient delivery routes in DRO (Dynamic Route Optimization)  
• Create and assign routes in DRO every night for next-day execution.
• Optimize routes while maintaining minimum daily stop thresholds.
• Manage driver rosters, including hiring and training new drivers. Certified Trainer qualification preferred .
• Assign and manage pickups.
• Coordinate and schedule vehicle maintenance and repairs to avoid breakdowns.
• Must have in- depth knowledge of the route codes used by FedEx, to guide drivers on a daily basis
• Maintain complete vehicle maintenance logs, including scheduling, inspection stickers, and cleanliness.
• Ensure driver compliance with paperwork, Hours of Service (HOS) , and Pre-Trip/Post-Trip inspections .
• Promote a safety-first culture and ensure drivers complete all required training.
• Attend and participate in daily terminal meetings with Terminal Managers.
• Provide daily guidance to drivers using FedEx route codes .
• Meet FedEx service level requirements consistently.
• Perform sweeps and assist the team as needed.
• Communicate with FedEx Ground staff as required.
• Maintain a professional work ethic and demonstrate reliability .
• Pass background check, drug test, hold a valid driver’s license , and maintain a clean motor vehicle record .
• Previous experience with FedEx strongly preferred ; experience with UPS, Amazon, or other logistics providers is a plus.
