Family Nurse Practitioner
Pay: $58.00 - $70.00 per hour
Job description:
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, with experience across various medical settings. This role requires a compassionate individual who is committed to providing high-quality healthcare services to patients of all ages, including children and seniors. The Family Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care, manage chronic conditions, and promote health education.
Responsibilities
· Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to diagnose and treat medical conditions.
· Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on clinical evaluations.
· Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform procedures such as suturing and catheterization.
· Provide urgent care, acute care, and chronic disease management for patients in various settings including outpatient clinics, nursing homes, and hospitals.
· Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic or Athenahealth for accurate documentation of patient information.
· Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care through discharge planning and case management.
· Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
· Participate in clinical research initiatives when applicable, contributing to advancements in patient care practices.
· Engage in telehealth services to expand access to healthcare for patients unable to visit in-person.
Qualifications
· Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner with an active state license.
· Experience in primary care, pediatrics, geriatrics, or urgent care preferred.
· Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation practices.
· Critical care experience or exposure to emergency medicine is desirable.
· Knowledge of behavioral health principles and pain management techniques is a plus.
· Experience with specialized treatments such as botulinum toxin treatment, esthetic laser treatment, dermal fillers, or spinal taps is beneficial.
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations including those with developmental disabilities or chronic illnesses.
