Gannett Fleming TranSystems is seeking a motivated
Entry Level Structural Engineer to join our
dams & hydraulics team in
Roseville, CA . In this role, you will contribute to the design, evaluation, and rehabilitation of critical water conveyance infrastructure, including dams, spillways, levees, and culverts. You will assist with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, calculations, and stability analyses to support the successful execution of these projects.
You will join a collaborative team that values knowledge-sharing and teamwork, working together to solve complex engineering challenges. May 2025 graduates encouraged to apply What You Will Do: - Assist in the design, evaluation, and rehabilitation of water conveyance structures such as dams, spillways, levees, and culverts.
- Performs stability analyses for civil and hydraulic structures.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, cost estimates, and plan details for engineering projects.
- Participate in field reconnaissance and collect field data, including performing field tests and measurements.
- Support proposal teams and regularly interface with clients to deliver project outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 0-2 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on water resources, hydraulics, or structural engineering.
- Basic understanding and demonstrated interest in structural engineering design principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: - Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- Experience with CADD and GIS software.
- Familiarity with common civil and hydraulic engineering software tools.
